C&O Canal Nature Walk

Hi All!
I am excited to announce our next walk!
We will be walking a total of 5 miles along the C&O Canal. This is a point-to-point walk, meaning we will walk 2.5 miles out and retrace our steps to return.
Parking is VERY limited so I encourage you to get there early, if tou are not able to make it, please change your RSVP. Feel free to bring a guest if you are carpooling!
This walk is beginner friendly. This path is low-impact, but we will be walking on a dirt road.
We will meet at 7:45 am and takoff promptly at 8am, towards the front parking lot where we will have a 15 minute window for a meet-and-greet or to allow people to arrive.
There is additional parking at lock 8, I believe, you can walk towards lock 10 (make a right) and join the group!
**Before the walk: **

Bring ample water and a light snack (trail mix, berries, etc.)

Be sure to apply sunscreen and bug spray!

There are facilities at the visitor center should you need to use the restroom.
