Tonight's movie, from Wikipedia: Ballad of Tara is a 1979 Iranian film written as well as directed by Bahram Bayzai. It was presented in the "Un Certain Regard" section at the 1980 Cannes Film Festival.

Synopsis: Tara, a beautiful young widow, returns from the country to her village with her two small children. She finds out that her grandfather has passed away and distributes his belongings among her neighbours. But, there is only an old sword left that no one accepts.
