Cork Pictorial Artists

The goal of this group is to be active in creating Pictorial Art, be solidly unified, socially bonded, strongly supported, regularly creative, strongly informed, actively marketed, and economically sustained, to provide an artistic living.

In practice this could encompass many different activities and mediums of art. It needs a comfortable space in a building, with facilities and art equipment.

It needs to be engaged in all different mediums of art creation and marketing.

At the moment we are drawing outdoor street scenes, architectural buildings, tourist attractions, portraiture, model drawing, landscapes and social life.

We could also do some other art subjects like art history, philosophy, different art techniques, printing, art selling, internet selling, digital art, art debating, and having exhibitions, etc.

Membership is open to beginners and advanced for free, but if using facilities, equipment or rooms, a model or a tutor, a small fee could be charged.

We learn by practicing our art and the example of other artists.

As artists can suffer from working in isolation, and to prevent artist's from drifting away from art, which all too often happens unfortunately, it is essential to have a base support group, to help us become strong, determined, persistent, give regularity to our work, and the joy and guidance of doing it together.

We have rented a room, to use as a strong base, as a home, for our artist group, to gather and create our art, and as a space to explore the different areas of art and develop our skills.
