Pedal Into Fall Foliage – Rail Biking Adventure + Lunch in Hawley PA

This time, instead of gathering around the dinner table, let’s spend the day gliding through tunnels of autumn color!

We’ll ride the rails on a 2-hour journey through stunning fall foliage, pedaling (with electric assist!) along a historic track at the most colorful time of year. Rail bikes are open-air, pedal-powered carts with comfortable seats — perfect for all fitness levels — that glide effortlessly through the gorgeous landscape. It’s an invigorating, picture-perfect way to savor the season, with autumn air, bursts of color at every turn, and plenty of chances to spot wildlife.

Many times we say we want to truly enjoy peak fall foliage — now is your chance to do it in a way you never have before! It’s a well-deserved day away from the usual responsibilities, and the perfect chance to do something memorable.

I’ve reserved 1 tandem (2 riders) and 2 quads (4 riders each) — enough for 10 people — I'll adjust the number of rail bikes to match the final group size.

After the ride, we’ll have lunch and explore historic charming Hawley PA filled with cafés, art galleries, and boutique shops — the perfect way to cap off a stunning fall day before heading home.

DETAILS

When: Tuesday, October 7 · ride is from Noon–2:00 PM (depart NJ 9AM) Lunch after.

Where: PA Rail Bike 4 Columbus Ave, Hawley, PA (2 hrs from NJ)

Transportation: I can drive 4 people; if more sign up, we’ll need additional drivers. Gas is shared. We’ll depart NJ at 9:00 AM and return by early evening.

Cost: $65 per person for rail ride (due Oct. 2)

Cancellation: No refunds unless the operator cancels due to weather.

I usually post events weeks in advance, but this one is just a week out so we can be sure of good weather — and it’s forecasted to be perfect.
