Come an join us for the 32nd Cambridge Carnival International (everyone is welcome). This is Cambridge's largest annual festival, rooted in Caribbean/African culture and traditions, running since 1993! This year's headliner is Alison Hinds, the Soca Queen, live at University Park Commons.

Meeting Spot: Lafayette Square Fire House, 378 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA 02139
🎷We're meeting here because it's a great spot along the route to catch the parade before heading to the main festival grounds!
🗓 When: Sun, Sept 13 (event runs 11 AM–6 PM)
🎟 Cost: Free!

🥁 A dazzling costume parade — handmade masquerade costumes, steel pan, and rhythm — kicks off around 12:30 PM, running from River/Blackstone Streets down Mass Ave, turning onto Sidney Street, ending at University Park Common. Rain or shine.

What to expect:
🎶 Music by multiple bands playing Soca, Reggae, Afrobeats, and steel pan performances throughout the day.
🍽 Food vendors, handmade craft vendors, and artisans.
👨‍👩‍👧 Family Fun- KidsFest with face painting, arts & crafts, and interactive activities.

⚠️ Quick note: This festival draws a huge crowd, so please plan accordingly! I'm hosting because I love this event, but I'll be out there enjoying the day right alongside you. I'm not responsible for anyone getting lost in the chaos so keep up and enjoy yourself and have a backup plan in case we get split up.

📢 If you arrive after we've left and can't find us, drop a note in the comments below — others in the group might still be around and can help you link up.
