South Bay Monthly Ride - Coyote Creek Trail

Details

Arrive by 9:45 am. Wheels roll 10:00 am.

Distance: 26 miles total on linked route map below

Pace: 10-12 mph, casual/conversational

Route Map: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/11055935

Ride the southern half of the Coyote Creek Trail to its southern end in Morgan Hill. About one mile from the end of the trail is a retail center with a Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Red Robin, Chili's, Hawaiian BBQ, Dickey's BBQ and more. Enjoy some coffee and/or lunch before heading back on the trail.

NO restroom at the start point--PLAN accordingly! First restroom is at mile 2.2 at Metcalf Park. The next closest restroom will be located on the Coyote Creek Golf course.
Finally there are restrooms at the end of the trail just east of the ranger station in the parking lot.

SOME interaction with vehicular traffic should be expected. For example, bike paths sometimes cross streets or use streets for short sections to connect different parts of a dedicated bike path.

Group effort needed to ensure no first-timer to a trail makes a wrong turn or gets left behind. Riders who do not know the trail have to let others know and find out which one(s) are their navigation helpers. All riders should be able to maintain the pace posted (10-12mph).

Weather Permitting!
