The state park is directly off of Babcock Street. Bill is your host! His phone number is 321-515-7029. There is a large white building seen from the road as you enter the park. Bill will meet you at the white building.

Photographers Nature lovers Hikers — You are going to LOVE this vast, open wilderness.
This massive preserve and Florida State Park spans 35 square miles and was purchased in 1995 to protect the watershed of the St. Sebastian River and Indian River Lagoon. It’s home to one of Florida’s largest populations of scrub jays and protects rare and endangered plants and animals.
Explore landscapes that existed long before development:
Longleaf pine forests
Scrubby flatwoods
Cypress domes
⛰ Sandhills
Open grassy forests
WILDLIFE & BIRDING PARADISE
Manatees gather in the C54 Canal.

We’ll head to a historic 1926 landmark building in downtown (one-road!) Fellsmere.
Step into Old Florida dining and history from the boom and bust years of the 1920’s–30’s.
