Join us for Songkran – the Thai New Year Festival at the Buddhist Temple 🙏💦
📅 Songkran is celebrated every year on April 19th, marking the sun’s entry into Aries. It’s best known as the world’s largest water celebration—where gentle splashing symbolizes cleansing, renewal, good fortune, and washing away the past. 💧🌸
🙏 This beautiful tradition is also a time for:
• Family reunions
• Paying respect to elders
• Visiting the temple and receiving blessings
• Reflection, gratitude, and fresh beginnings
🍜 IMPORTANT: Arrive early—especially if you want to eat—because this event will be PACKED! You won’t believe the incredible variety of authentic Thai food waiting for you 😋
🌺 WHAT TO EXPECT:
• A peaceful Sunday service led by the monks
• The best Tai food you have ever tasted and the largest selection.
• A vibrant market with flowers, spices, and unique items
• A welcoming, uplifting community atmosphere
• And yes… a little (or a lot of) fun with water! 💦
🎤 HOST: ( I might need a second host!)
Look for the ballon on your right R.C. (Rich) will be your host and will meet you as you enter on the right side near the stage (where the Sunday service is held). This is not going to be your typical meetup, we all wont be sitting together or be in one place due to the crowd size.
🌿 Many of you have joined us at the temple for meditation meetups—those will be returning in late May. This is a perfect chance to reconnect and experience the energy of the temple in a different way.
