Join us for walk around historic Walden Pond! PLEASE NOTE EARLIER TIME DUE TO HIGH DEMAND FOR SUMMER PARKING.
Please arrive at the parking lot no later than 9:45 AM to allow time to purchase a parking pass and visit the visitor center restrooms. Then head down to the beach to meet up for the 9:45 AM walk. We’ll follow the 1.9 mile loop that hugs the pond’s shoreline. The path is unpaved with tree roots and rocks, and several small hills, but generally considered an easy route.
PARKING: Purchase your parking pass from the kiosk in the lot, or via the Yodel App on your smartphone: 8 for MA plates;
30 for out-of-state.
(There are no cash sales.)
Bikes are free.
You can also park in one of several lots in Concord Center and walk or bike along Walden Street for 1.3 miles to the pond.
MEET: We’ll meet on the beach across the road from the parking lot.
RECOMMENDED: Sunscreen and bug spray.
PETS: Unfortunately pets are not allowed.
