Intro to Modern Calligraphy

Join me for an introduction to the beautiful and magical world of calligraphy, the written word with style. Learning the different inky strokes that make up a calligraphy letter opens the door to not only creating your own artistic style of writing, but it can be cathartic as well. It can be a calming exercise as much as it is one to learn the mechanics of writing in this decorative way.
Specifically, for us card makers, it is a wonderful tool to have in your crafty toolbox since often you don't have a stamp for the sentiment you would like to write on your card. With calligraphy skills, you can write it!

This will be the first in a series of workshops where we learn the basics. It won't be long before you're writing your own sentiments on the cards you make.

I will be sending a packet for you to print out. We will be using this information packet during our workshop.

Supplies

Copy Paper - 24 or 32 lb.
Dull Pencil
Eraser
