Can't find the right Designer Series Paper to make the perfect card? Grab a napkin with a colorful design! Yes! Napkins can be used to make the most amazing card fronts and backgrounds. With a bit of embellishment and a sentiment, your card is ready to go. Make it as fancy as you like, using die-cut images and gems that sparkle, or simply let the design on the napkin be the focal point. They are so much fun to make.

In this workshop, we will learn several ways to make the napkin cards, so collect some napkins that you like and gather the supplies in the list below. We are going to have fun!

Adhesive Sheets are waxy pieces of paper with a sticky side. A waxy sheet covers the sticky side and is peeled away when applying to your cardstock. These are used to apply adhesive to larger areas. Using them is one option for making the cards. They can be purchased at Stampin’ Up! or at any craft store. Amazon has them as well. Using them is one of the ways a napkin can be applied to cardstock. It is an option.

Any glue stick can be used. The ones from the dollar store work fine. I will be using Elmer’s Craft glue stick because that is what I have.

Mod Podge is another option. It can be used to apply napkin to the card as well as to cover the napkin once it has been adhered. This makes the napkin stronger and prevents tearing.

A heat gun can speed the drying process when using the Mod Podge. It is an optional item as well. The cards that we use this on will be done first and can dry while we do the others.
