Building a scalable satellite image analysis framework with SAM presented by Gudmundur Heimisson from Echo Analytics.
At Echo Analytics our mission is to enable companies to innovate faster by making the world easy to understand, through our reliable geospatial datasets. With the release in 2023 of the Segment Anything Model (SAM), we realized that adding satellite image analysis to our portfolio of offerings was within our reach without the heavy investment usually required to create specialized segmentation models. In this talk, we will explore the suitability of SAM for geospatial segmentation (on optical images), as well as current and upcoming challenges we will face building out our solution.

Media contextualization in social networks, presented by Jérémy Lê Freelance, expert in Computer Vision & Machine Learning Engineering. The second talk will explain how to use VLM models, OpenSet detection, or guided segmentation to extract media information in a zero/one-shot framework, for subsequent utilization in media performance analyses.
