One Day and Three Lakes (Langener Waldsee - Egelsbacher See - Walldorfer See)

The Walk
We will meet in the main train station at Dreieich-Buchschlag and head out for Strandbad Langener Waldsee. This is the beach of the community lake Langen surrounded by forrest and shown in the event picture. There we take a rest and may jump into the water to refresh ourselves. Then we walk towards the Badestelle Walldorfer See. As you may guess, this is the beach of the community lake Walldorf. On our way we pass Egelsbacher See, which is mainly used for sand mining. We may decide to have a second break and swim at the Walldorfer See. After we feel fresh enough we continue towards the train station in Walldorf.
On our way we will mainly pass through Forrests and enjoy nature in spring. There is a solar park on our way and a sand mining complex which is visible from a distance.
The total distance of the hike is 8 Kilometers. Here is a map of the hike.
If you plan to join, be on time for the hike, as we cannot afford to wait for more than 3-5 minutes before starting. The group will NOT wait for those arriving late.
Train recommendations:

1. If you arrive from Frankfurt main station please use Train S3 from Track 101 at 13:47 o'clock to arrive at 14:07 o'clock at Dreieich-Buchschlag.
2. If you arrive from Darmstadt main station please use Train S3 from Track 3 at 13:35 o'clock to arrive at 13:53 o'clock at Dreieich-Buchschlag.

General:
It is recommended

1. to wear clothes and footwear suitable for hiking
2. to have enough water to drink.
3. that you do your best to stay with the group and not to fall too far behind. We will take 1-minute breaks to catch our breath when necessary, but generally speaking, do not get too lost in your conversations to make you fall behind too much. It is your responsibility to stay with the group.

No-shows:
If you are not going to join the hike - or are not sure of it - please remove yourself from the participants' list to make way for the people on the waiting list. Please do so as soon as you can and also by no later than 5pm the day before the event, as enough time should be provided for people on the waiting list to be informed and for them to plan/replan their evening and the next day for the hike.
Failing to remove yourself from the participants' list in time or being a NO-SHOW will result in it being more difficult for you to join future hikes as your participation will be deprioritised below other participants who followed this guidance. Thank you for understanding this and being considerate and respectful of others.
Weather:
If there will be rain forecasted, the hike will be cancelled. A confirmation of this hike will be sent here in the comments one day before.
