Korfball Summer League 2019! Players wanted including beginners!

Korfball! You might have seen it on the BBC Red Button at the start of June, or BBC Breakfast News in April or ITV Anglia in May. Or you might not. Either way, there's never been a better time to try it!

Following the success of the first year of our first summer league in 2018, starting on 27th June 2019, we will, once again, be running a social outdoor korfball league for 3 weeks (plus 18th July as a reserve date in case any week is rained off) on Thursday evenings at our summer home of MK Rugby Club, Emerson Valley.

This will be the 4-a-side version of korfball and will be suitable for all levels from beginners upwards. If you want a practice before the league starts (don't worry if you miss these or join a team late, we have found from previous one-off beginner tournaments that if you just turn up and play, you'll pick up the rules really quickly), there will be a chance to practice at our workplace tournament on June 13th or training session on June 20th. The rugby club bar will be open every week, so you'll get a chance to socialise with your team and others too.

Enter as either an individual or small group (then we will assign you to a team - of course we will keep groups together), or as a whole team. There is no maximum squad size and rolling substitutions are allowed. Each team will get to play 2 matches every week - kickoff times will probably be 7:30pm, 8pm and 8:30pm but will be arranged closer to the time.

Entry is just £40 per team to cover the whole league - that's less than £2 per player per game! (If you enter as a individual/small group, we will sort out splitting the fees). And all entry fees include a £10 donation per team to MK Snap so you're supporting a good cause too!
