Storytelling events are aimed at improving the ability to narrate insights from data analysis. Participants can pick up a dataset from a curated list, create a team, work on the insights. September event will be a workshop on making Data GIFs. Teams get to present their work at the end of the day and receive feedback from the trainer. Presentation format: to be updated. Data Storytelling Hackathon - Hyderabad

Storytelling events are aimed at improving the ability to narrate insights from data analysis. Participants can pick up a dataset from a curated list, create a team. Teams get to present their work at the end of the day and receive feedback from a review panel. Presentation format: 2 mins to present, 1 min for Q&A, 1 min for feedback. Participants need to bring their laptop and other accessories. Agenda 9:45 AM -- Arrive in time for registration. 10 AM -- Orientation, teams formation. 10:30 - 11 AM -- Teams pick a dataset. 11 AM to noon -- Find insights. Noon to 4 pm -- Work on drafting the data story + additional insights. 4 - 5 pm -- Finalize Data Story output. 5:15 pm to 7 pm -- Presentations. 7 to 7:30 pm -- Hang around for discussions. Presentation order -- In the last two Hackathons External participants had to wait until the end to present. We realized it's not ideal and updated the order: External participants will get to present in even order (2nd presentation, 4th, 6th etc.) .
