“This is a group for anyone interested in hiking, rock climbing, camping, kayaking, backpacking, bouldering, etc. All skill levels are welcome. Looking forward to exploring the outdoors with everybody.” Join us whether you are new or experienced in hiking. Most of the time on dirt trails, but sometimes there are different terrains: rocks or gravel, sand in desert or water, slot canyons, river or mud on different settings like the mountain, forest, island, wilderness or desert. OUTSIDERS is a group for anyone who is interested in hiking and other outdoor adventures. This group is a key for providing outdoor enthusiasts the opportunity to participate with one another in recreational events and it is not a guide service nor should event organizers be regarded as guides; we are all outdoor enthusiasts like yourself.
Please do not attend a hike that is beyond the limits of your health & conditioning. This is not fair to others who expect to enjoy the hike at the level it was described, OR to the Organizer or other members who may have to wait or look for you if you get behind or get lost. Click RATING TABLE to learn more about difficulty levels and browse our calendar for upcoming events that match your ability.
Arrive on time. Organizers have no obligation to wait for latecomers. Often there is a 5-15 minute meet/greet period before leaving the meeting place, but there is no guarantee, so please arrive on time.
Come prepared with the right hiking gear, especially boots/shoes, and enough food and water. These needs are different for everyone, so if you are not sure what to bring, contact the organizer of the particular event.
RISK AND LIABILITY As a participating member, you certify that you are responsible for having appropriate skills, physical conditioning, equipment, and supplies to participate in our events that you chose to attend. Participation in OUTSIDERS activities is strictly voluntary and members assume all risks in connection with our activities; per Meetup.com's Terms of Service Agreements, OUTSIDERS organizers and hike/trip leaders are released from any and all forms of liability related to the group events. Additionally, participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
