Overview: ROS is standard for Robotics Programming and becoming the essential skill to Robotics engineers. However, this rather large system requires a lot of effort to learn it, so the ROS learning curve is steep and to become proficient is pretty hard for a complete beginner. So we builds this ROS learning community to meet other ROS enthusiasts, join together to learn how to smooth the ROS learning curve and start ROS project quickly.
We welcome students or teachers or anybody who interested in learn or teach ROS in an effective way. Let‘s meet together in the sunshine city of Barcelona. Come and share us your ROS learning difficulties and get your ROS projects ideas, quickly understood and created any ROS-based robot development projects.
Proposition: The method we propose is to make the students forget as many concepts as possible and concentrate on doing things with the robots. learning by doing, not by reading or by typing, by doing…on a robot.
After a theoretical description of how ROS be learnt/taught for maximising learning speed, we demonstrate a real implementation of that method that is available online for anyone who wants to learn ROS.
