My name is Riccardo and I am a qualifying Zen Meditation and Mindfulness teacher. Meditation has been my companion for more than 10 years now, leading the way to a very enjoyable and interesting experience of life. Nothing like meditation could have made all these years more exciting and fulfilling. It has been helping me to explore my habits, my conditioning, my frustrations and my beliefs. Together, we have walked through stress, pains, worries, joy, pleasure and satisfaction; no doubts we will keep walking on. I do believe that meditation is the strongest and, also the cheapest, of all the medicines. Meditation like medication. For me, it has been the most powerful healer.

I now want to share the benefits I have been enjoying thanks to meditation with people whose desire is to explore this powerful life-improving tool. Thus, after attending the intensive Meditation & Mindfulness Teacher Training (https://zenways.org/meditation-mindfulness-teacher-training/) I began to run Meditation and Mindfulness for Wellbeing (https://zenmindfulnesscambridge.com/course-2/) courses as well as meditation-and-mindfulness-based drop-in sessions (https://zenmindfulnesscambridge.com/drop-in-sessions/). That means that the training course as a globally-recognized credential in the field of mindfulness instruction.

The teacher training I did is rooted in the Rinzai Zen tradition. Rinzai Zen has been teaching meditation for centuries in order to boost physical and mental health and wellbeing, as well as to gain insights and Self-understanding. Zenways (https://zenways.org/) is the organisation behind my training and its founder is Daizan Roshi (http://zenways.org/about/about-daizan.html), the first British person to become a Zen Master in the Rinzai tradition of Zen Buddhism. I am myself a practising Zen student and I am training to become a Zen Junior teacher under the guidance of Zen Master JULIAN DAIZAN SKINNER. (https://zenways.org/about-our-teachers/#daizan) I enjoy more than ever to keep exploring into the mystery of this amazing human experience.

A whole host of scientific studies have provided evidence of the benefits of meditation and mindfulness for health, wellbeing, mental clarity and stress-reduction. And, more and more people find that meditation and mindfulness can show things from a new perspective making us enjoy life more fully and more healthily. As a result, we feel calmer and have an easier relationship with ourselves, with others and with the world.

I run regular courses and drop-in sessions in mindfulness and meditation in Cambridge. I also give private classes for individuals, groups as well as giving talks on stress and other related topics for organisations.
