About us

Drop in when you can make it – no booking is necessary – but please arrive a little early to get settled before practice begins.
A short teaching is usually shown during each session for guidance and inspiration. Cushions and chairs are provided.
"Meditation is being increasingly accepted as a practice that cuts through and soars above cultural and religious barriers, and enables those who pursue it to establish a direct contact with the truth of their being.
In the stillness and silence of meditation, we glimpse and return to that deep inner nature that we have so long ago lost sight of amid the busyness and distraction of our minds. Meditation then, is bringing the mind home".

Learn How To Meditate - New Course in Carlton North Buddhist Centre
803 Nicholson St, Carlton North, VI, AULearn how to meditate
5 Week Course – Wednesday nights
Starting 25 February, 6.30pm-8.00pm
An easy and relaxed way to learn how to meditate. Over the 5 weeks you will learn simple methods of meditation that can be practiced in a group or in your own home. Join Garry and Ben each week for this course to learn and practice meditation.
Through meditation our mind begins to settle, and as it does, something extraordinary takes place. All the fragmented aspects of ourselves come home, and we become whole. Our negativity, pain, suffering, and frustration are all defused and we experience a feeling of peace, space, and freedom, and out of this, comes a profound stillness.
Happiness depends entirely upon our mind and so it is vital to take care of our mind. Most importantly, we need to understand and transform our mind. Generally, we spend our lives distracted from our true selves, in endless activity, leaving nobody at home.
Meditation then is bringing the mind home.
