Join us for Body Jam — a welcoming freeform dance and movement gathering in Brighton, MI.
This is a space to move however you need to — no choreography, no pressure, no judgment. Just music, motion, and the freedom to show up exactly as you are.
Inspired by the spirit of ecstatic dance, Body Jam is about full-spectrum expression: from stillness to sweat, laughter to release. Some people dance, some stretch, some rest or breathe. All movement is welcome here.
🧡 No experience necessary. All ages, all bodies, and all abilities are welcome.

### 🔒 Space Agreements

We ask all participants to honor these guidelines to create a supportive environment:

• 🚫 No talking on the dance floor
• 📵 No phones or filming
• ❌ No substances
• 💗 No judgment — just presence, freedom, and movement

📍 Michelle’s Academy of Dance – 101 Appian Way, Suite 102, Brighton MI

• 🌀 Doors open: 10:45 AM
• 🌟 Opening Circle: 11:00 AM (please arrive early to sign in and settle)
• 🎶 Freeform Movement: immediately after circle
• 🫶 Closing Circle: final 10–15 minutes

Traditional book clubs pick one book for all members to read. Bookish clubs allow the flexibility for members to bring their own books to discuss. Just pick up your favorite or current book and drop in.

As a bonus, we’ll use this meetup as a way to try out new coffee shops in Metro Detroit! We might change the location depending on how many people we get for each event.
