Aikido is a Japanese martial art developed in the 1920’s and consists of series of locks, throws and pins. The techniques require very little strength to perform, which makes the art suitable for anyone, and we provide a friendly and supportive training environment.
We have two beginners-classes; Tuesday 6:30pm and Wednesday 6:00pm. If you're keen to give it a go, or just curious, pop in for a visit. Visitors are always welcome and there is no charge for your first couple of weeks training.
Where to go: 2 Bell Road, Brooklyn What to wear: Sweatpants and a tee-shirt, or any comfortable, loose, clean clothes
If you're curious about Aikido, come along and watch our mid-year grading and seminar. There will be both beginners and black belts taking part in the grading so it'll be an excellent opportunity to see a range of aikido techniques.
The grading will run from 9:00am till 12:00pm, there'll be a break for lunch, and the seminar will run from 1:30pm till 3:30pm.
Spectators are free and you can pop in or leave at anytime during the grading or seminar.
