Showrunner, HOLLY SORENSEN will instruct the FIRST SHOWRUNNERS WRITER'S ROOM for a 3-day intensive workshop as a part of the inaugural Georgia Entertainment Masterclass Series sponsored by CoCo Studios and Auburn Avenue Films!

This first series begins on Friday, March 15th and is instructed by highly acclaimed showrunner and producer, Holly Sorenson. Sorensen is the creator and showrunner for

Step Up: High Water, a drama series, which is based on the film franchise of the same name, starring Neyo and Naya Rivera, sets its cast in Atlanta at a contemporary performing arts school. It marks YouTube Premiums video service’s first ever big budget original scripted drama and premiered on YouTube Red with 40 million viewers. Season two airs in early 2019.

This is for intermediate or advanced writers with a finished screenplay or TV pilot script who wish to take it to the next level by learning to formulate ideas, premise, expand on character development, plot, series arch, and pitch prep.

Day 1 in Holly’s class you will learn to create compelling characters. (9 am - 4 pm)

Day 2 you will learn the story structure for pilot scripts and receive a case study of the TV Series “ Step Up”. (9 am - 4 pm)

Day 3, you will learn to pitch your idea and how to stand out in a writer’s room. (9 am - 4 pm)

You’ll also get original pilot scripts, pitch notes, and series bibles from her shows. This masterclass is designed to you hone the skills necessary to complete in today’s television landscape.
