Inside Books Project Book Drive

Let's cull our bookshelves and raid discount book stores to provide free books to inmates in the Texas prison system.

The nonprofit Inside Books Project provides desperately needed books and educational materials, free of charge, to inmates across the state. A lot of us have at least one or two (or twenty) books read years before and unlikely to be read again just sitting on a shelf.

Open Inside Books Project’s link below to see its lists of most needed (and not accepted) books and materials. We'll meet at Jason’s Deli at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, for supper and to amass our books. Afterwards I'll take all of the books to the Inside Books Project dropbox. Please join us! If you are unable to join us and would like to drop off books, they are at 3106 E 14th-1/2 Street and their dropbox is facing Airport Blvd.
