Hey there! Ready to dip your toes into the wonderful world of yoga?
Our Goal: This group is all about creating a welcoming and supportive space for absolute beginners to explore the fundamentals of Hatha yoga. We aim to build a solid foundation in basic yoga postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and relaxation, helping you cultivate greater body awareness, flexibility, and inner peace. Think of it as your gentle introduction to the incredible benefits of yoga!
Who We're Hoping to Meet: We're looking to connect with individuals who are brand new to yoga or have very little experience. Whether you're curious about yoga, seeking a low-impact way to move your body, looking to reduce stress, or simply want to try something new in a friendly environment, you'll fit right in! All ages, body types, and levels of physical fitness are warmly encouraged to join us.
What We'll Do at Our Events: Our sessions will typically involve:

  • Gentle Warm-ups: We'll start with simple movements to prepare your body and joints for practice.
  • Introduction to Basic Poses: We'll break down fundamental Hatha yoga postures step-by-step, focusing on proper alignment and modifications to suit individual needs. You'll learn poses like Mountain Pose, Downward-Facing Dog (with modifications), Warrior poses, and seated stretches.
  • Breathwork (Pranayama): We'll introduce simple breathing techniques to help calm the mind and enhance your yoga practice.
  • Relaxation (Savasana): Each session will conclude with a guided relaxation to allow your body and mind to absorb the benefits of the practice.
  • A Supportive Atmosphere: Expect a non-competitive and encouraging environment where you can ask questions, learn at your own pace, and connect with others on a similar journey.
