Curious about sailing but don’t know where to start?
Or maybe you’ve sailed in the past and need to re-boot your skills?
Or maybe you’re ready to sail bigger waters in bigger boats?

Let's get you ready for enjoying Michigan's waters. We will order off the Captain Joe's menu and get to know each other. Captain Joe's serves Mediterranean and seafood highlights along with American pub food.

If you enjoy fresh air and learning new things with a variety of good people, we hope to see you for dinner and maybe even entice you to join us for a sail this summer. We want to hear your dreams and fears of sailing or your own sailing tales.

We are members of American Sailing Institute (ASI), a local club founded over 35 years ago with beginner classes on 18’ boats at Kensington and Stony Creek Metroparks; and advanced classes for 28’, 30’, and a 32’ keelboats on Lake Saint Clair. Candace took her first sail last July and was happy to find she did not get motion sick. Kristin is an experienced captain, navigation instructor, racer, and can tell you about day and overnight trips on ASI keelboats on Lake Huron, Lake Michigan, Mackinac Island, and Lake Huron in Canada.
