Learn how to wear a kimono or yukata, and how to dance to the sound of well-known traditional Japanese folk songs (or famous summer festival songs).
*Workshop Location:
Sasazuka Kumin Kaikan (笹塚区民会館), 4th floor. (3-1-9, Sasazuka, Shibuya, Tokyo)
This community hall is an 8-minute walk from Sasazuka Station on the Keio Line and Keio New Line
*Time:
Door opens at 10:45
*Workshops:
1- Starting at 11:00:
Learn how to wear a yukata
*We will lend you a yukata (summer kimono) and all the necessary accessories.
(You only need to bring a t-shirt to wear under.)
2- Starting at 12:00:
Learn how to dance 'Donpan Bushi' and 'Aizu Bandaisan', two popular songs often danced at summer festivals.
- The workshops will be in English and in Japanese.
- You can participate to both workshops for ¥3000.
- Maud Archambault will be leading the workshops on that day.
- Male customers coming for the first time must be accompanied by a female friend.
