What we’re about

Internationals in Seattle is a small, thoughtful community for people who grew up outside the US and now live here.

This group is for those of us who have lived most of our lives elsewhere and carry that layered sense of identity with us; shaped by different countries, cultures, and ways of seeing the world. You may have moved for work, love, family, or curiosity. You may feel settled here, or still slightly in between. Either way, you are welcome.

The focus is on genuine connection rather than networking or dating. Conversation matters. Listening matters. Depth is valued over numbers.

This group is especially suited to people roughly in their 40s and 50s who are looking for peers with shared life experience; people who grew up abroad, often across more than one culture, and who appreciate thoughtful, respectful company.

This group is for people who live within the city of Seattle. By that, we mean residents of Seattle neighbourhoods rather than the wider metropolitan area. The intention is to create a local, walkable-feeling community where it is genuinely easy to meet up, form friendships, and see familiar faces regularly.

We will meet for low key, well considered gatherings; coffee and conversation, gentle walks, cultural outings, and occasional evenings centred around a simple theme. Group sizes will be kept intentionally small so that conversations can unfold naturally.

This is not a political forum and not a sales or promotion space. It is a place to meet others who understand what it means to build a life away from where you grew up.

If this resonates, you will likely feel at home here.
