Speaker Bio

Pat Ford is a seasoned writer, photographer, and avid fisherman based in Miami since 1972. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame (Journalism, 1965) and Columbia Law School (1968), he served as a Navy JAG officer and Military Judge until 1972. His passion for fishing led to a prolific second career in outdoor writing and photography.
Since retiring from law, Pat has published numerous articles and two books: The Best Fly-Fishing Trips Money Can Buy (2006) and Fly Fishing Day Dreams (2011). His work appears in global publications, catalogs, and on nearly 300 magazine and book covers. He’s known for his underwater and remote fishing photography, and has also covered football for the Miami Dolphins and University of Miami.
