About the Band & Series
Fausto Cuevas y La Moderna is a high-energy salsa orchestra that masterfully blends traditional Afro-Cuban rhythms with a cutting-edge, modern sound. Led by world-renowned percussionist Fausto Cuevas III—who has toured globally with massive acts like Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Lopez, and Celia Cruz—the band redefines the classic salsa sound. Their music incorporates an infectious mix of rich Cuban genres including guaguancó, yambú, son, cha-cha-chá, and cumbia, creating a rhythmically intricate and unstoppable dance experience
- Latin Sounds: This is LACMA's premier summer concert series, celebrating world-class artists from Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, and beyond.
