Save the Date: Glen Canyon/Horseshoe Bend Multi-day

More details to come! Take a long weekend to SUP the legendary Horseshoe bend on the Colorado River below the Glen Canyon Dam. Due to the remoteness and cold water temps, this is not recommended for beginner paddlers. To RSVP you must commit to attend an in person planning event prior to be scheduled through the event chat. I am not a guide and all activities will be at your own risk. Mostly flat water. Participants will be asked to pay shuttle reservation fee to the organizer before the trip no refunds available.

• drive to AZ on Friday (10 hours from Denver)
• spend the night (camping/lodging options available)
• Early Saturday morning, take back-haul shuttle boat up river (costs for shuttle plus gear fees, $30 national park fees)
• Two options: 1.) drop off below the dam for a 15 mile paddle with an overnight stop camping on the river (must pack gear on your water craft) OR 2.) drop off at Horseshoe Bend for a day trip TBD depending on group desires
  *We’ll plan to start early and be done paddling by early afternoon to avoid strong winds
• weight limits for gear on shuttle boat
• you will need to bring: your own watercraft, PFD, whistle, sun protection, sunscreen, lots of water, dry bag with extra warm layers, snacks
  *for an overnight paddle bring sleeping bag, tent/shelter, wag bags for human waste, dura flame log, and we’ll plan meals as a group
  *plan to pack out all waste and trash
  *drive home either Sunday or Monday
