Blockchain + Finance meetup

Blockchain Centre is the world’s first not-for-profit education and knowledge hub focusing on blockchain technology. From its establishment in Melbourne in 2014, it has been devoting itself to the education and promotion of blockchain technology on a global scale.

Blockchain Centre Shanghai was set up in October 2017. We’ve hosted 15 community events since opening in last Oct, sharing our opinions and insights about blockchain technology and industrial application. Xi Luo is leading new initiatives and business development of BitSE. Before that he has professional experience of 4 years R&D and 7 years B2B high tech sales in IBM and DELL. Attracted by Blockchain application potential by the end of 2015, he started research and actively participated in Blockchain communities. Foreseeing the promising future of cryptocurrency development, he devoted efforts and invested in many blockchain projects.
Before joining BitSE, Xi was Account Director of Gui Zhou Province for Dell. He led Dell’s vertical sales team to develop comprehensive business with consulting service drivers of AI, IM and Blockchain. He successfully launched a SME supply chain finance project by leveraging Blockchain to improve efficiency among multiparty cooperation. This new project has profound positive impacts immediately and in coming years across Guiyang city as it strongly boosted the development of small business in the whole area.
Earlier in his years of B2B selling experience, Xi was client representative of IBM. He developed business for corporate clients in retail, manufacturing industries by leveraging IBM’s diversified BU resources as System, Software, IT service and Business consulting service.
Xi started his career as R&D engineer at IBM development lab, developed PLL on FPGA to boosted the performance of IBM’s X86 blade server and focused on development of high end enterprise storage DS8000.

Tamar Menteshashvili, PhD candidate at Shanghai Jiao Tong University with main focus on Blockchain technology and financial innovations. Legal expert consulting the government of Georgia and National Agency of Public Registry of Georgia on the institutional and legal development of Blockchain technology in Georgia. Creating a roadmap for the development of relevant legal framework suitable for the Blockchain technology used in real estate and business registration in Georgia, including regulations in regard to the smart contracts. Author of number of publications, including Forbes and International Business times. Co-founder of Expread Platform which is integrating Blockchain technology based solutions and proposes to change the way cryptocurrency exchanges are established and operated. With the proposed system, EXPREAD will provide a shared economy approach of operating exchanges with common order book, trading engine and liquidity pool. Multiple exchanges, built on top of the EXPREAD platform, will aggregate their liquidity, technology costs and unique expertise to achieve synergy value from network effect.
