Hike Spencer Loop

Details
First, I only volunteered to be the Organizer because MeetUp indicated that this group of 760+ members who like to hike in the morning (yay!) in the Anchorage area was apparently at risk of being deleted due to lack of an organizer... although there are 3 others with similar titles? So I don't need to stay the Organizer -- I just wanted to keep the group going.
THE HIKE: Spencer Loop, designed by Bill Spencer as an expert cross-country ski trail on the Hillside trail system. It has a lot of moderately-steep hills and is about 12 feet wide (maintained by the amazing Nordic Ski Asso. of Anchorage), so 2-3 people can walk side-by-side. It's a good place to hike with ski poles (I'll have mine). Appropriate for intermediate-level hikers.
Bring bear spray.
Meet at the far end of the main Hilltop parking lot (beyond the chalet) on the left. We'll hike in the direction of winter skiing: down the Gasline first, then down to the creek, staying to the right at the bridge. It's easy to do only half of the loop by taking a midpoint trail that goes back down to the gasline. We'll avoid the marked-off section at the end of Spencer by taking the old, narrow footpath before that.
