On Saturday two emerging London acts will be performing at this legendary venue in Clapham. They will be playing their original songs and this gig is FREE ENTRY. It's our first Meetup and a good chance to make new connections in London.
The Act:
Canadian born but raised in Ireland, Cormac Russell has taken his music across the globe, including tours in England and China. He released his acclaimed seventh album titled A Novel Ark last year, which won some very favourable reviews in the press, as well as airplay on national and international radio. Playing all the instruments himself, he draws from a wide range of influences; from indie bands like Radiohead and Pavement to literary giants like James Joyce and F. Scott Fitzgerald. He will be joined on the night by his incredible band and will play songs off his latest album along with other crowd favourites. Opening for Russell will be the talented Mick Gough.
The Venue:
The Bread & Roses is an award-winning free house in the heart of Clapham. Owned by The Battersea and Wandsworth Trade Union Council (BWTUC) and run by the Workers Beer Company, part of BWTUC Trading, it prides itself as a pub with a social consciousness.

This event is open to all ages.
