Travel Notes: Clothing that drys quickly for hand washing and air drying is best for adventure travel Using luggage without wheels is my suggestion (backpack). It can be done with wheels if you like but remember, dirt roads and not all surfaces will be smooth. Bottled water is recommended to be used while traveling to ensure typical digestion is maintained. Trying foods that require water to be cooked is at the sole risk of each individual. There are lots of delicious items and since it is a limited timeframe, this risk is something to consider for comfort while traveling. Medication from your Doctor can help solve this while traveling as well. I have needed to use the “special pills” while I was there before. See your appropriate medical professionals for any necessary medications, vaccinations and so forth for travel to Uganda or otherwise advice needed Passports valid for at least 3 months after traveling time frame. Sometimes governments can use discretion when passports are near expiration Uganda visa fee can be paid upon arrival to the airport using their ATM (takes longer) or bring $50 US cash (must be newer bills) ITINERARY SECTION DAY 1-3 Central Uganda (Kamapla, Lubowa, Ndejje) Market exploring History Nightlife Jinja or Murchison Falls Excursion Service Work at School Day 3 Travel to Southern Uganda (6-8 hour car ride) Mbarara and Rwashamire Crossing the Earth’s Equator - photos/ect (20 minutes or longer if we want to eat here) Day 4 Wedding Excitement Day 5 Kabale: Bunyonyi Lake Day 6 & 7 Queen Elizabeth National Forest Safari & Gorilla Bwinidi Impenetrable Forest Option Day 8 Service Work at School in Rwashamire Day 9 Travel back North to Lubowa Day 10 Kampala: Traveler’s Choice for Local Exploring Message Mike and he can forward the PDF with full details on the trip.
