About us
Hello Everyone
On May 4, the subscription to this group is over I will not be renewing it. I will be organizing through the Saskatoon Outdoors and Games Meetup hosted by Jeremy and Katie. They have graciously allowed me to merge this group with theirs in order to reach a wider audience and meet new people.
I will still be doing rock the river every week and posting hikes over on that group when the times are right
Happy Trails
This is for those that want to explore the trails and beyond hiking or snowshoeing. The trips will range from a few hours to a week. We will explore Saskatchewan, the Rockies and if desired beyond.
I hope many of you remember the group that went by the same name and the good times.

Ruck the River Get used to your pack walk with a group and have fun!!!!
Mendel Art Gallery, 950 Spadina Crescent, Saskatoon, SK, CAHey everyone. Soon we will looking to do some backpacking. I think it will be fun and get use to carrying that pack for multi-day trips.
I would like this to be a weekly event adding distance and weight if you wish as the weeks we progress
Rucking is a program developed that is “functonal” training and will get us used to carying a pack and eventually getting you to the “trail weight” GO RUCK
So we willl start easy and do the train bridge - University Bridge loop (-4.2 km).
Meet at the Mendal at 6:00 PM we will walkrhe main paths for nows for lighting and footing
As the days get longer we can add weight and distance
If there is a desire we can also switch it up while we have snow to a snowshoe
Dress warm and suitable footwear
