SKTrekking the Mantario Trail (6 days)

Mantario Trail (Manitoba/Ontario Border)
​Distance: 63 km point-to-point
​Terrain: The ultimate backcountry test. Extreme wilderness trekking across granite shelves and peat bogs.
​The Experience: If you want the definitive Western Shield backpacking experience, this is it. Running through the wild eastern edge of the Whiteshell, the Mantario features zero level ground. You will scramble up granite balds marked only by stone cairns, plunge down into muddy valleys, and cross untamed beaver dams. It takes most seasoned backpackers 3 to 4 days to complete.
A $100 deposit is required to demonstrate seriousness, and will be applied to shared costs. The deposit is due by the registration cut-off date and is re-fundable up to that time minus any sunk costs for reservations.
