We use a method of reading and reacting to each writer’s work in advance.
Anyone wanting to workshop a piece will send it as a word doc by 5:30 p.m. Pacific time on the Monday before our meeting to piscespoet@yahoo.com.
I’ll then send the collected pieces to members by 6:30 or 7 p.m. PST. This allows everyone a few days to read and react to each piece.
We ask you to limit your work to five pages of double-spaced text.
On Wednesday, we send the Zoom log-in info.
Writing can be of any genre.
While there are no set time limits on reading and responses, writers should be mindful of others so that everyone gets a chance to receive input. In the event that there are many present, a time limit may be set to give everyone a chance to receive feedback.
After the meeting, we ask that you send each writer his or her piece with whatever notes you wish to include in the document.
We limit each week’s work to five pages of double-spaced text.
We read in order of each person’s appearance to the workshop, giving those replying to this link priority in the reading over those appearing without an earlier sign-in.

Time limit rules
In the event of many participants as well as in the interest of time, a 20-minute time limit will be set for each piece.
During the discussion from others present, the writer will not respond to anything said at that moment; if no one addresses questions or issues raised during the open discussion, the writer may respond when everyone has spoken.
Each participant should take no more than 3 to 4 minutes to present his/her response. This can be done in the form of suggestions, statements, notes, or questions
