Step among towering trees to explore shortlisted images by photographers from around the world, reflecting on issues affecting the climate and life on our planet. This exhibition was established in 2018 by Forestry England, the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) and Parker Harris. It is a world-leading international programme dedicated to engaging with still and moving image makers. Its main objective is to reveal the narratives behind the pictures, encouraging conversations about our world, it's inhabitants, environments, and the changing climate.

The exhibition will display a selection of the shortlisted entries, allowing visitors to view the stunning images in a beautiful forest setting. The exhibition is free but you may have to pay for parking.

We will meet outside the cafe, visit the exhibition. Afterwards we will go for a walk around the Forest and have coffee at the cafe.

Please bring yourselves and dress warmly. Dogs and guests welcome!

Admin Notes
There is a small fee of £2 per person for each event (paid in cash on the day) to cover costs of running the group site on Meetup (£360 pa) and some minor expenses incurred when reconnoitring walks/rides, mostly fuel and a pint.

This is a not for profit group intended as a social event for people who share an interest in the natural world. You are responsible for your own safety and welfare so please come appropriately dressed for a long rural walk or ride taking account of the prevailing weather conditions. Should you participate in any foraging events, it is your own responsibility to identify, to your own satisfaction, anything you plan to eat. Some walks/rides may involve an additional degree of physical challenge. If so, this will be clearly stated in the description. If you then choose to participate in these activities you do so at your risk.
