PCDC New Year's Contra Dance

This is a special event no-host contra dance and dessert potluck at Norse Hall, 111 NE 11th St. in Portland.

Tonight we celebrate the New Year with two bands and two callers! Peter and the Wolf Tones (George Penk, Heather Pinney and Jesse Schafer) will kick off the evening with caller Shell Stowell from Olympia. After a snack & social break, Countercurrent (Alex Sturbaum & Brian Lindsey) takes over the stage with caller Koren Wake from Seattle. Lesson for newcomers at 7:30 pm, dancing from 8 to 12:15 am.

Bring water, clothing appropriate for indoor aerobic activity and smooth-soled shoes for dancing. Please do not wear scented products to the dance. Dress fancy and bring a dessert or savory snack to share!

Cost: $15-$35 on a sliding scale; cash, check or credit card.
