What we’re about
Our group’s purpose is to bring together anyone interested in free and open source software (F/OSS) in the LA area. We will discuss technical aspects including language features, frameworks, and integrations, as well as community topics like building a community, licensing decisions, documenting code and processes, and encouraging adoption.
There will be a combination of lectures and training from project experts (committers and Project Management Committee members), coding events, and opportunities for brand new participants to give short presentations and develop their skills and comfort.
The goal is that everyone can teach something and everyone can learn something. Ultimately, we want to lower and remove barriers to entry and mystique around open source, and enable everyone interested to participate fully in this incredible community.
