This group is intended to provide a women-only space for anyone over 18, to hike, cycle, kayak, camp, snow shoe, backpack, walk, or whatever mostly-outdoor activities we schedule. We will also combine hiking and other events with exploration of historic sites, ghost towns, hot springs, etc. This is an embracing group and I hope that you join us and, within our group, find your tribe.
The goal is to have enough women willing to organize events that we ensure a steady offering of activities for women of all skill and fitness levels. Our group is hosted out of Albuquerque and will have a lot of activities in the Albuquerque / Santa Fe region but will also travel to other locations.
Our events will have enough details in the description for you to determine if they are right for your skill/fitness level. You are responsible to ensure that you are capable of participating in the event you sign up for - read the descriptions carefully.
To join this group you must have a picture of your face before I’ll approve your join request. If you are interested in organizing events, let me know and we’ll discuss. I’d love to have many organizers so we keep the event list full and with a lot of variety.
You are responsible to adjust your RSVP to events as early as possible if you cannot attend. If you no-show two events without explanation, you will be removed from the group.
Upon requesting membership in this group you have agreed to the following:

By registering for and participating in this Meetup, you understand and agree to the following:
• Meetup organizers are not tour guides and are not park rangers. Expect the same risks and take the same precautions you would take if you were hiking alone. You are solely responsible for your own safety and well-being. Do research before any outing and be prepared.
• By signing up for and/or attending this Meetup event, you acknowledge, understand, accept, and agree that hiking, biking, camping, skiing, kayaking, rafting, climbing, snowshoeing, or any other outdoor and physical activities can be dangerous and can cause serious bodily injury and possibly death. You further agree that you assume the risk of the possibility negligence by other members or organizers of this group. Current and former members cannot be held responsible or liable in any way for the actions of any participant - including you - at any event.
• All attendees participate at an event at their own risk and are solely responsible for any damage to their property, damage they cause to property of others, and/or any injury to themselves or their guests.
• By signing up for and/or attending a Meetup event with Women Who #OptOutside, you affirm that you understand this disclaimer, and that you knowingly and voluntarily agree not to bring any type of claim arising out of, or related to, a Meetup event against the organizers of this Meetup group.
