I'm really excited because this is DebateWars' very first event.
My goal is simple: to create a place where people who enjoy discussing current issues and sharing their opinions can actually have meaningful conversations.
Here's how the event works:

• We all meet in a Zoom call and spend a few minutes chatting and getting to know each other.
• Then I turn on my camera and randomly invite two volunteers who signed up as speakers to join on camera.
• They'll be assigned opposite sides of the same topic, regardless of their personal beliefs.
• I'll ask them a series of questions, and each participant will have 2 minutes to answer and defend their assigned position.
• Once the debate is over, the audience votes for the participant they believe made the stronger case.
• We repeat this format with different participants throughout the event, and by the end, we crown an overall winner.

I'm genuinely excited to see how this turns out.
