Lets get out there, share our knowledge, practice and improve. This session is good for new comers. Attending this will be the first step to see if you can/want-to join in future canyoneering activities. After this event we will do some larger rappels in Red Rock, followed by an easy canyon in Red Rock, then off to Snow Canyon and Zion in Utah for more fun.

Learning the first 5 is very useful.

Canyoneering Gear: minimum required for participation
Helmet (meets UIAA standards)
Harness
Rappelling Device
Extra Locking Carabiners (3 or 4)
PAS/Safety-Tether or 10' of 6mm sterling accessory cord from REI
Gloves
Whistle
Headlamp
Rope if you have
20’ 1” tubular webbing and quick links- if you have. We can set up many stations if participants bring anchor building materials and rope (min. 80’ for practice wall)
A pack large enough to carry group gear as well as your personal items
