This will not have the exposure of the front approach, Good for beginners. The first part of the hike is a steep uphill trail that will take your breath away if you are not in good condition. Actually, it will take your breath away regardless of your level of conditioning. Trekking poles are helpful.
This will be a steady pace, not especially fast, but you must be in capable of doing hills for 5 miles.
We will leave global and head towards Windy and make this a loop.
If you have done Windy Peak you can do this. Time wise I am listing it as 5 hours but last time we finished in 4. So, think 5 and be real happy if it is less - but you never know.
We will be parking at the top of the dirt road where the radio tower is. If you have a HCV and are willing to drive. Let me know.
