Learn Tai Chi and the Golden Flower Form

Details
Please join us as we learn and practice Tai Chi and the Golden Flower form.
Tai Chi, often described as "moving meditation", was originally developed as a martial art, but is generally practiced for its significant health benefits today. The movements are slow, gentle, and adaptable to virtually all levels of fitness.
Tai Chi forms are a choreographed series of movements that flow from one to another and vary in length. The Golden Flower form is a medium length form designed to be accessible to beginners with the option of layering in more complexity as the student develops.
The ultimate goal of Tai Chi practice is to cultivate awareness and skill at managing Chi, our vital life force. At more advanced levels this skill can be used to promote martial ability, vibrant health and/or personal development depending upon the student's interest.
Our teacher, Robert Bruce, first learned Tai Chi in 1999 and has been practicing regularly since. He has been a Certified Instructor in the Golden Flower Tai Chi Association since 2004 and has been teaching regular classes for years.
Rob will utilize a series of training exercises to facilitate relaxation, release tension, increase flexibility and develop a meditative state of mind.
This will be a weekly class with a limit on attendees due to the size of the space. There will be a week or two that we will not meet due to schedule conflicts. We will not meet on October 4th.
This event is by donation.
