Games for a cause: Play games with JAKIN's Children Club (JCC)

Remember how you first learned to love games as a child?

Sadly, many children living on the streets do not have that opportunity. They are consumed with hustling to survive-- they lack quality healthcare, sound education and positive uplifting recreation.

For our 2nd Edition of "Games for a Cause", we are planning to visit JAKIN NGO's "JAKIN's Children Club" (JCC) monthly meeting for 500 vulnerable children. The club bring vulnerable and underprivileged children together once a month to receive reformative/transformative training to help improve their quality of life. Some of the training include excursions, nutrition, sports, health, career, road safety and child rights. The children are also given transport fare allowance, take home packages of indomie noodles, educational, and/or hygiene supplies.

THE GAMES: This first meeting will be multi-game style. We plan to bring at a minimum:

• Chess (Strategy)

• Scrabble (helps with English, Math, Strategy)

• Checkers (Strategy)

• Whot (this card game helps with Strategy)

---Optional---

• 4-Faces of Diamonds (this card game helps with Math, Strategy)
• Ludo (helps with Teamwork, Strategy)
• Ayo (helps with Strategy)

• Monopoly (helps with Entrepreneurship, Business Acumen, Math, Strategy, Geography, Negotiations)

ACTION REQUIRED: Please let me know on the wall which ones you have and which you plan to bring.

THE DONATIONS: Cartons of Indomie Noodles.

We need minimum 38 cartons of indomie noodles to feed the 500 children (to give each child 3 packs of indomie).

DIRECTIONS: The place is close to Queen's College (QC). From QC, get to Onike Roundabout and make first major right on Iwaya road. Make next right on Tobun street (There's an MTN mast at the intersection). 9 Tobun street is the duplex inside an estate.
