Welcome to Genuine Connections, a new group created to join those across different cultures & identities in the hopes of establishing authentic friendships and connections!

📌 Priorities:

• Make Friends: Erase cultural lines and make friends with someone you may not meet in your immediate vicitinty.
• Stay Social: Have real, raw conversations and learn more about each other. Topics can be about almost anything as long as it's respectful.
• Meet Up: Engage in the meetups and develop the connections you've made here. The goal is to have at least 1 monthly meet up, which will range in a variety of activities meant to push the boundaries of your comfort zone. While the group is based in Warren, events will be held all over the Metro Detroit area. Some meetups may be virtual/online.

📖 Group Rules:

• You must have a name and photo on your account to be approved.
• Absolutely no discrimination of any kind. This space is inclusive to all identities, including LGBTQ+.
• Serious discussions regarding politics and sex are not allowed. Let's keep the space light and comfortable for everything!
• This group is geared towards making friends. Should you find someone that you click with beyond just friends, those conversations should be private and taken to the DMs. No posts asking or looking for a date, but asking relationship advice is totally fine!
• No spam, soliciting, or posting about your personal business opportunities. This is not the group for professional networking. Any accounts appearing to be spam or promotional will be removed.
• Disrespect will not be tolerated. Be respectful, kind, and polite. Personal attacks or disrespectful language is not tolerated.
