Hello everyone! I'm excited to share about our next meetup at a new location with a fresh new format that we are trying out!

If you'd like more details keep reading, but if you want to just know the important points, we will be meeting at Mucky Ducks (yes a new location!) for a new format focused on experience sharing and addressing what is on your mind (yes you!). We listened to feedback and while we aren't looking to abandon traditional presentations, we would like to facilitate more discussion, address burning topics, and allow more connection from our community.

Over the years we've connected hundreds of people in the community, and have evolved as we learn and the world changes. One piece that is consistent, is people really appreciate the human connection of our meetup. The information share of presentations is great, but we wondered if we could highlight more of what so many people have appreciated. The talks after. The connections made. The opportunity to talk solutions. Asking about ways to learn. And so much more. To this end, we wanted to try out something new which we are calling a "testing round table".

What is a testing round table? This casual happy hour format is an alternative to more formal meetings, for folks who want a relaxed evening discussion. It’s a great place to ask questions and share your stories of using QA automation, testing approaches, tools, and practices over an adult beverage, if you choose. We discuss any topics on software testing and automation that are of interest to whomever is gathered. We welcome sharing and those who prefer to listen and absorb if you don't feel comfortable sharing! You suggest the topics, then we prioritize that list democratically through a good ole’ fashion vote. We manage our discussions via time boxes and a Roman vote (drinks up/drinks down). Vegas rules apply, this is a safe space to share. What we talk about at our meetups stay at the meetups!

We will be picking up appetizers and the first round of drinks for the group so come hungry and thirsty!

Some house keeping....
We are partnering with some long time friends of mine from Checkpoint Technologies for this meetup. They will be providing a round of drinks and appetizers for this upcoming meeting and are helping us keep this meetup page going so we can continue to grow and connect more people. This is not a sales pitch or changing the principals of our group. This is people passionate about supporting the growth of QA and the sharing of knowledge who are generously helping grow our group. That's it. No one wants to be sold or feel like they are sitting through another vendor pitch, and it's important to our team that we foster a community of knowledge sharing, not selling.
