Complimentary places for Women Like Me

Hi everyone,
Apologies for the radio silence - we have been very busy organising ourselves for the year but are back in action now!
We are kicking off more events with an invitation to join a conversation with Independent Mayoral Candidate Rory Stewart who wants to listen to women in London.
When Rory Stewart announced that he would stand for London Mayor as an independent candidate, after quitting Conservative Party and stepping down as MP, it was in a bid to break “the suffocating embrace of our dying party politics”.
RORY IS RETURNING* TO THE KIT CAT ON MONDAY 2nd MARCH 2020 TO TALK TO – AND LISTEN TO – THE WOMEN OF LONDON.
We hope you can join us…
The former Tory MP said the capital “is the most extraordinary city on Earth – but London is also facing one of the most challenging times in its history”.
Stewart said he has grown tired of Westminster’s “gothic shouting chamber” and said UK politics “makes me sometimes feel like Trump has never left London”. “London is a city not just with so much potential but, of course, a city that is now in real danger,” he said. “Danger from Brexit, from technological change but I think, above all, from what’s happened in British politics, to the kind of extremism that is taking over our country.”
As an independent candidate, Stewart will take on Conservative candidate Shaun Bailey and Labour’s sitting London mayor Sadiq Khan when the campaign gets underway in 2020.
Under the Rising Tide banner, we now have links to a wide variety of women’s groups across the capital. Over 5,000 women – from networks as varied and influential as Ada’s List, 30% Club, Women in STEM, Women in Film & TV, as well as newer initiatives such as @WomenLikeMeLDN, The Automotive 30% Club and Sonaaar, along with campaigning groups, and women’s business and professional networks – have attended our events. Our members’ subscriptions go towards making over 350 complimentary places a year available to students, women early on in their careers, and outreach organisations. We also have close links to university and schools’ women’s societies, which means that our speakers are always talking to an enthused and engaged audience of all ages and stages.
