Brecon Waterfalls Walk - 10-11 miles (Strenous walk/risk of slipping)

PLEASE READ ADVISORIES - ATTENDING THIS GUIDED WALK IS AT YOUR OWN RISK

Visit over a dozen waterfalls in the southwestern part of the Brecon Beacons National park.
Distance - 10-11 miles
Time - 6 hours
This walk links three trails to pass by 9 waterfalls, one of which will be walked behind.

Although not a technical walk due to the nature of the area the paths can get very muddy and as we walk close to the waterfalls it can be very slippery. Any attempt to get closer to the waterfalls for photography purposes is entirely at your own risk.

Suitable boots are important.

Also if you are taking a dog or children one of the link paths to make the route circular is non technical but near a narrow cliff edge with a large drop off to the side so should you get pulled over it would put you in a difficult situation. If you are uncomfortable with a using an unsigned path with some warnings in place (still on os map neccessary to make the circular) I would recommend not to attend.

Yes plese park at the rock climbing location.

👞 What should I wear?



Wear walking boots/shoes or sturdy trainers bringing a waterproof coat is also recommended.


Additionally...
If it's cold: gloves, hat, scarf, warm trousers and a fleece/warm top.
If it's hot: sunscreen, hat, a pair of shades and a thin top - it may get hot.

🥪 Do I need to bring food?


A packed lunch, snacks and water are recommended.

🚶 How hard is this walk?


This walk is difficult - a suitable level of fitness and dexterity is necessary.

I have never walked with the group before and/or don't know anyone, can I still come?


Yes! This group is a great way to meet new people, socialise, get out in nature and improve your fitness. We welcome any and all people to come along.

🚗 I can't get to the walk, are lift shares available?


There are a few methods to look for lift shares:
- Post a comment on the event
• We also encourage people that are coming along to offer lift shares to others when possible.

🐶 Can I bring my dog?


Yes! Dogs are welcome provided they are well behaved around people/other dogs and kept on a lead/under control in areas where there may be livestock.

⚠️ Some walks may have stiles, and you may need to lift them over.
